Mary Hand Church Library

Life in a missionary family in India is depicted in an unusual and captivating way in the recent book added to the WLFMC library: Splendor in the Dust. Written by Lois Shull (who lived in retirement at Peabody Homes in North Manchester) it chronicles the life of a busy wife, mother, and missionary as she dealt with the ups and downs of mission life. Check it out for a refreshing and challenging read. Recent additions in the DVD area include a fascinating series of sermons by Louie Giglio emphasizing the majesty and glory of God in His creation. "Facing the Giants", a Sherwood Baptist Church production, is a timely film about high school football--don't miss seeing it! And for some lighthearted but meaningful humor from an outstanding Christian artist, pick up one of the two new Chonda Pierce DVDs: "Stayin' Alive...Laughing" or "A Piece of My Mind." New items are being added frequently, so feel free to browse and find just the right book or film for your enjoyment.
